Lemon bars are one of our favorite treats.

Our Valentine's Day craft.
Heart shaped sponges and Maisie's hands dipped in paint made the background, vintage lace trim and "i love you" in yarn finished the project. P.s making letters out of yarn is a little ridiculous.

Maisie's foot print from last Valentine's day

Last night we went to our neighbors' for a little Valentine's day fun. There were 5 kids ranging from ages 16 months to 2 1/2 years. It was a lot of fun. All the adults were able to talk and decorate Valentine cookies while the kids ran around exploring all the new toys and balloons.

Austin and I also made heart shaped lemon bars and they turned out delicious. We are obsessed with anything lemon. We drink lemon water almost every day (shout out to California for having the best year round citrus ever). Then this morning we got our craft on. After we cleaned Maisie up (we took pictures of her in the bath, but the water was so red that it looked like the scene in Psycho. We thought it best not to share those photos because they are not Valentine's day appropriate haha) Austin and I had a little mac book Valentine's day photo op. It was a pretty low key day, but that's the way we like it.

  1. I completely agree - sometimes low key is the best way to go! Glad you got to enjoy something you both like (lemon bars). Hope the rest of your V-day was great!
