A couple weeks before Evan's scheduled induction I had won a Facebook contest for a "fresh 48" photo shoot- meaning they would be taken at the hospital within the first 48 hours of the baby being born. I was ecstatic because we had never had professional newborn pictures done of the girls (what's wrong with us... seriously!). Cami, the photographer, was amazing. She was warm and friendly and super talented. We will cherish these photos forever! Look at how perfect Evan is in all of his not even 24 hour old goodness!

Family Photos 2015
I think this is my favorite picture- it was Maisie's idea to pose like this.
In mid October our friend here in Rexburg kindly offered to take some family photos for us. He's a photography major at the University and has all the fancy equipment any professional would have. He will be famous one day, I just know it! His work is awesome and we are so thankful for him, that he and his wife took the time to get some pictures of all four of us. I would be lying if I said getting these photos were easy because my normally photogenic and cooperative children decided that day would be a good day to want nothing to do with pictures. Playing in the mud and throwing rocks seemed like a better way to spend their time and while I can respect that, it didn't make for a good time for either Austin or I. Herding cats I tell you! So you will notice there aren't many of just the girls or with all of us together. It was just not going to happen that day- oh well. That's just the season of life we are in.
P.s we had to hike down to this spot from a bridge out in the middle of nowhere Rigby/Ririe area. It was a muddy venture and there were fresh moose tracks everywhere. We even heard moose calling from the other side of the river- it was pretty intense and REALLY loud. I would be lying if I said I wasn't scared- I have seen one too many videos of people being mauled by moose(s?).

Family of four
Our lovely (and talented) friend Kristen took some family pictures of us to celebrate being a family of four. It was an amazingly beautiful autumn day in early October and the trees were glowing with soft sunlight- it truly couldn't have been a better day. If only little Ellie could have cooperated a little better, but what can you expect from a 2 month old? It's crazy, but Ellie already looks so different and is so much more expressive, so maybe we will get a few more of just the girls around Christmas time that way Ellie can show off her little personality a bit better.
We are so happy to have these pictures. It's such a good reminder of the sweet season of life we are in and I know we will cherish these for some time.

Family Pictures in Oregon
When we were in Oregon in March a good friend (thanks Leia!!) took a few pictures of us before our family of three turns into a family of four. I loved how they turned out! Maisie was full of energy and wasn't feeling a photo session, but it actually turned out really cute because you can see so much of her spirited personality. Plus having an updated picture of Austin and myself is a miracle! It was a beautiful spring day and everything fell into place. I'm so happy to have these as a memento to remember this fun and crazy stage of life.
I was 23 weeks along in these pictures- the navy chiffon hid my belly bump quite well (not what I was going for) but trust me it was there. :)

Just the three of us
Our friend Sam got married in September just days before our big move to Idaho. The wedding was incredible, Maisie had as much fun as us and we danced the night away in the middle of one of my favorite forests in Oregon. Erich Mcvey was the photographer (duh) and if you all remember he took our family photos over two years ago (need a refresher? See them here). Anyway, he was kind enough to take a picture of the three of us at the wedding and I am so thankful he did! It's rare to get a picture of all of us without being an iPhone selfie or setting up the tripod haha. The humidity wasn't kind to my hair that day and either was the fact that we were packing a moving truck up until the moment we left for the wedding, but look at my child- she is perfection and so is my handsome husband. Could I be anymore lucky? I mean really.
